Geo-Fencing VR Mat

Other than moving around on high use it's great, I bought an anti-slip mat and it keeps it mostly in place now

The mat is perfect for use with the VR headset. We use it a lot to help our grandson stay in an area where he won't be hitting things - he's not that great about staying in his boundaries... It is super easy to clean, and on a bare floor, does not slip. On our carpet, if an extremely active game is being played, like Gorilla Tag, our grandson can make it move across the carpet a bit. I purchased a rug mat for area rugs on carpet (about $10 for a 2' x 3' Gorilla Grip mat), and it took care of the movement for him. For my use, the mat is not required. The VR mat is textured and the padding to it is thick enough to reduce leg fatigue. It was a great purchase for us and is one of the larger mats available.

This VR mat is everything it advertises to be, in my opinion. Its quite large and dense which allows me to stand on it for long periods.

Bf and I are new to VR and we both enjoy the mat. Here's why:

a) gives us a pretty good sense of our boundaries when playing. I primarily exercise using fitXR, etc while he does mediation via TRIPP and whether I'm jumping and punching or he's sitting cross-legged, we know where we are in the room, plus the VR's set boundary for added protection. All that to say: great defining, designated, play area for us.

b) the mat is foamy and soft. Great for bare feet, but I slip too much in my exercise socks, even if they're beaded on the bottom.

c) easy to clean if there's debris/dirt, sweat, etc

Now for the cons: a) even though it's "larger" than a standard mat, it's still small, especially if you're running around, like when playing some of the full-scale room games.

b) you can still trip on the mat. It helps, but it won't save you from falling. VR helps you forget you're in the real world, but alas, you are still standing on earth ground. ??

c) good mat, but on sale it's around $70. A bit expensive, but you can't really barter. What you pay is what you pay.

The pros and cons are about the same, but the pros have more "meat." I'm overall happy with my/our purchase and we'll continue to use with our VR headset.

We bought this to help kids have better sense of location when on the VR. Its perfect size and seems to be good material. Our only complaint is it doesnt have a good grip on back and so it slides a lot when they use it.
